I’m about writing code, creating electronics, and helping others to be productive and write awesome code. The day job involves managing an agile software dev team for an awesome bio-tech company, LifeNexus, that’s bringing to consumers a secure personal health record system. My motivation is in building great dev teams being, making the whole more productive than just its parts. Books like Rework, Peopleware, and Smart and Gets Things Done are my guides.
The rest of the time I’m playing with my kids, skating my ass of playing ice hockey (usually falling on my ass is more like it), coding, poking through kickstarter, learning new lifehacks, or trying to learn to play the banjo. Someday I’m going to get a cruiser bike; got my eye on this one.
Some of the stuff I’ve done includes: designing features in Visual Studio 2005 to 2010 in the debugger, unit testing, static code analysis, code profiler, across the VS shell, and owning the VS Express products as a Program Manager at Microsoft. Co-authored one of the first books on Visual Studio Team System. And was one of the first 50 Microsoft MVPs in C#.
One of the most awesome things of our time is the free-flowing web where I just love learning about other’s ideas, tips, tricks, and cool stuff. It’s a real joy to get the opportunity to contribute back to the community and add my drop of water to the surfs of the internet.
